When I was a boy, my yeye would often justify roping me into helping him with some task by repeating "Dig the well before you are thirsty." As a boy who would rather have been out playing, I wasn't really receptive to the idea, and I didn't understand why he was talking about wells all the time. However, as I got older, I realized that he was essentially telling me to prepare in advance, so when something happens, I am ready for it. That is a lesson well applied to modern pinball machines.
